Chardonel               Silver Medal at the 2008 Indy Intl. Wine Competition
100% Indiana grown.  A dry, crisp white aged in American oak. This Chardonnay hybrid is our largest planting in the vineyard. Green apple and pear flavors and a crisp finish allow this wine to be easily paired with a variety of dishes. We like it best with herb-grilled chicken or salmon.

Seyval Blanc
Seyval is the lesser known parent of Chardonel, above.  This is a dry white, similar to Chardonel, but with more pronounced fruit aromas, a lighter body, and no oak aging.  This also pairs well with roast chicken and turkey, but complements cream soups and appetizers as well.

Viognier                   Bronze Medal at the 2008 Indy Intl. Wine Competition
This is a full-bodied dry white with loads of tropical pineapple and apricot aromas.   Fruit flavors and hints of lemongrass and are followed by a citrus finish.

Cabernet Rose'

A dry but fruit-laden rose' made from Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.  Great with your relaxed picnics when a drier wine is desired.

Chambourcin          Gold Medal at the 2008 Indy Intl. Wine Competition

100% Indiana grown.  2007 proved to be a great season for grapes in Indiana, providing perfectly ripe Chambourcin grapes.  This lighter bodied dry red was aged in 1/3 new American oak, and 2/3 neutral French oak barrels that add a nice vanilla nuance.   Pairs best with lighter fare such as pasta with fresh tomatoes & basil.

Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a 2006 Vintage, full-bodied dry red grown in the Lodi appellation in California.  The warmer climes of Lodi produce perfectly ripe fruit expressing flavors of blackberry and dark cherry, balanced with a firm tannin structure.  We recommend this hearty red with a Dougherty Beef steak (available at the winery!) tonight on the grill.

Finale

As the name implies, Finale is a perfect ending to a great meal.  Finale is a port-style wine made from Shiraz grapes, with a touch of Viognier which adds fruit and complexity.  We find it stands alone as dessert without accompaniment.

Marechal Foch       Gold Medal at the 2008 Indy Intl. Wine Competition

Our Foch is a lighter bodied red with abundant raspberry and cherry aromas.  We like Foch with a touch of sweetness, and it really fills the gap between our dry selections and Picnic Red.  It's been very popular at our Pizza & Wine nights (See our EVENT LIST page) and would be great when you're grilling burgers this Summer.

Traminette           Silver Medal at the 2008 Indy Intl. Wine Competition

Reminiscent of its parent, Gewurztraminer, our Traminette exhibits typical floral and spice characteristics. Made in a German style with a touch of sweetness, it pairs well with spicy Middle-Eastern and Asian cuisine as well as grilled bratwurst.

Geisenheim-Temporarily Sold Out
Located on the Rhine river in Germany and known for its great Rieslings, the town of Geisenheim lends its name to this Reisling relative.   With Riesling-like aromas and flavors of pear and citrus, Geisenheim is great with spicy chipotle grilled pork or an aged Cheddar.

Muscat Canelli      Silver Medal at the 2008 Indy Intl. Wine Competition

Bursting with floral aromas and tropical flavors. Muscat is one component of our Seasonal Winter White wine, but on its own is not quite as sweet and has more concentrated flavors of apricot & ripe pear. Pair with Thai food or other spicy cuisine.

Cayuga                    Silver Medal at the 2008 Indy Intl. Wine Competition

Light-bodied crisp white somewhat similar to Riesling. Not too sweet, but not dry either, Cayuga is a nice summer wine with grilled chicken or pizza.

Picnic Blush
One of America’s great grape varieties, Catawba has a long history as a wine grape in Indiana, especially prior to Prohibition. Our semi-sweet version captures the Catawba flavor in a refreshing, easy drinking wine.

Picnic White            Gold Medal at the 2008 Indy Intl. Wine Competition
Unmistakable Niagara aromas in this sweet white will remind you of fresh grapes in Grandma’s backyard.

Picnic Red                Gold Medal at the 2008 Indy Intl. Wine Competition
A sweet red made from Concord grapes. The uniquely American flavor and sweet finish make it a favorite of Indiana palates. Try it with barbecue or wood-fired pizza.

Rhubarb                  Bronze Medal at the 2008 Indy Intl. Wine Competition
Back by popular demand! A sweeter wine with unique Rhubarb zing, try pairing with cheese or salads. We think you'll be surprised.

Strawberry            Bronze Medal at the 2008 Indy Intl. Wine Competition
Our once a year, limited release is here.  Loads of strawberry flavor, it's like jam in a glass.

Blackberry
Great blackberry flavor with the perfect balance of sweet & tart.

Red Raspberry
A sweet dessert wine with concentrated raspberry flavor so intense you'll have to tame it with a rich dark chocolate dessert.
